Fannie Mae and the STAR Program

The Servicer Total Achievement and Rewards (STAR) Program, awards Fannie Mae servicers for general servicing, solution delivery, and timeline management. By rating services based on competency, capacity, and overall performance, the STAR program helps Fannie Mae servicers identify new opportunities for improvement and monitor their progress against important industry metrics. Mr. Cooper was awarded the Solution Delivery and Timeline Management award in 2020.

Bulldog Awards

Mr. Cooper received the “Best Crisis Management” award for outstanding PR and communications for the “Keeping the Dream of Homeownership Alive” campaign which focused on the company’s work to advocate on behalf of homeowners and the mortgage industry as the pandemic impacted the U.S. economy. 

2020 HousingWire Women of Influence Award

Mr. Cooper’s Chief People and Communications Officer, Kelly Ann Doherty, received the 2020 HW Woman of Influence award. In her role, Doherty is responsible for Mr. Cooper’s culture initiatives to create a more encouraging and empowering work environment, and has been a champion for Mr. Cooper’s employees, spearheading benefits initiatives to improve employee motivation.

Doherty has had an impressive trajectory at Mr. Cooper. Within only three years with the company, she was promoted from senior vice president of corporate communications to the Chief Communications Officer and a member of the executive team. 

Doherty is passionate about diversity and inclusion, and has spoken on her thoughts about increasing diversity in the workplace, particularly in leadership roles. She is an advocate for building trust and connection in the workplace to ensure employee satisfaction and help maximize the potential and productivity of teams.

Forbes’ Best Online Mortgage Lenders for August 2021

Mr. Cooper was recognized by Forbes as one of the best online mortgage lenders for providing customers with robust online tools such as the Home Intelligence app with insights on home value, neighborhood trends, and figures on home equity and the Digital Loan Tracker to improve customer experiences.

NEXT Powerhouse Award for 2021

Mr. Cooper’s Chief Digital Officer, Neenu Kainth, was recognized as a 2021 NEXT Powerhouse Award recipient. NEXT gives this distinction to role models, mentors, and change agents in the mortgage industry who recognized a challenge or problem in their field or with their company, and then took the initiative to improve it. 

Diversity and Inclusion Residential Leadership Awards

Mr. Cooper has also been given the “Organizational Diversity and Inclusion” award by the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). This award celebrates company initiatives specifically designed to improve diversity and inclusion in leadership positions and across the employee bases of member companies.
