Seahawk Baseball Beaten by Wesley

The baseball team lost 4-3 in their game against Wesley College on April 8 despite a rally in the bottom on the ninth inning, where the Seahawks earned 2 of their 3 game runs.

Sophomore Mark Dattilio earned two RBIs, while junior Jacen Killebrew and sophomore Bobby Corton earned the three runs during the game.

Dattilio, Corton, and Killebrew each had two hits against Wesley.

The other two games in the series against Wesley College were postponed, but they will be rescheduled, as they are the last two conference games before the playoffs.

The Seahawks are currently ranked fifth in the Capital Athletic Conference with a 7-9 record and a 13-14 overall record.

There are six non-conference games left in the season for the team starting April 22 against Washington College.

Wesley is ranked fourth curently with a 9-7 record.

In the 2007-08 season, St. Mary’s finished fouth in the CAC, having won half of their conference games. Wesley finished third.

This most recent loss is the second in a two loss streak.
